Terms of service Privacy policy Acceptable use

1. Overview

This policy governs the use of all D4 Networks services. It is part of the terms of service and applies to you and to anyone who uses a service through you, including your customers and automated processes. Violations can lead to suspension or termination as described in section 10.

2. Prohibited content

  • Content that is illegal under United States law or the law of the region hosting it.
  • Child sexual abuse material. Zero tolerance: immediate termination and referral to law enforcement, including NCMEC.
  • Content that infringes copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights.
  • Malware, viruses, or any software distributed to harm or gain unauthorized access.
  • Phishing pages, fraudulent schemes, or deceptive impersonation of other services.
  • Content that incites violence or terrorism.

3. Adult content

Lawful adult content is permitted. It must comply with all applicable law, including age and consent requirements. Non-consensual intimate imagery is prohibited in all cases, and section 2 applies without exception.

4. Network abuse

  • No denial of service attacks of any kind, launched or facilitated.
  • No unauthorized port scanning, probing, or vulnerability testing of systems you do not own or have written permission to test.
  • No attempts to access systems or data without authorization.
  • No packet spoofing or forged headers.
  • No running services that are exploitable for reflection or amplification attacks, such as open resolvers, once we have notified you.

5. Email and messaging

No unsolicited bulk email. Recipients must have opted in and you must keep evidence of consent. Purchased or harvested lists, forged headers, open relays, and mail bombing are prohibited. If you send legitimate bulk mail, maintain proper reverse DNS, SPF, and DKIM, and honor unsubscribes promptly. Remediation costs caused by spam may be billed to you under the terms of service.

6. Resource use

  • Cloud VPS runs on shared hardware. Sustained workloads that degrade other customers may be throttled or asked to move.
  • Crypto mining and similar sustained full-load workloads require prior written permission on Cloud VPS.
  • TOR exit nodes require prior approval. Relays and bridges are fine.
  • Dedicated servers have no compute fair use limits. Network rules in this policy still apply.

7. Security responsibilities

Keep the software on your services patched, use strong credentials, and secure the applications you run. If we notify you of a vulnerability or compromise on your service, respond within the deadline in the notice. A compromised service may be isolated from the network to protect other customers until it is fixed.

8. Legal compliance

You are responsible for the regulatory requirements of your own workloads, including data protection law, export controls, and industry rules such as HIPAA or PCI DSS where they apply to you.

9. Reporting abuse

To report abuse originating from our network, email with logs, timestamps, and source addresses. We review every report.

10. Enforcement

We investigate suspected violations and act proportionally. Severe cases, such as active attack traffic, may be suspended or null-routed without notice. Lesser issues get a notice and a chance to fix. Repeated or serious violations end in termination without refund. We cooperate with law enforcement under valid legal process.

11. Changes and contact

We may update this policy; continued use after the posted date constitutes acceptance. Questions:
